Security marketing often sells a feeling: a shield, a score, a promise that something is watching. Operations teams need something more boring and more useful: a list of who can reach what, which services are exposed, whether backups restore, and who is on call when they do not.
The five moves
- Assess the real surface: identities, endpoints, exposed services, vendors, backups.
- Protect in order: identity, network paths, endpoints, data.
- Monitor only signals someone can act on.
- Respond with ownership that exists before the incident.
- Recover with a restore that has been practiced.
What we will not claim
MHM will not advertise certifications, SOC coverage, or breach immunity that are not true for the engagement. If a control is not in place, it is not on the website. That is a security decision as much as a marketing one.
